Paul McCartney & Ringo vs. Paris Hilton

Flash poll time: Which will you watch on "Larry King Live" -- Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Olivia Harrison and Yoko Ono at 9 p.m. today.... or Paris Hilton at 9 p.m. Wendesday?

To me, it's no contest. The Beatles show from the Cirque du Soleil "Love" tribute in Las Vegas should be fun. I'm sick of all this attention to Paris Hilton.

You agree?

Paris Who?

I absolutely agree that Paris has already received more attention than she deserves...even before the jail time. She is completely uninteresting, unoriginal, and unworthy of media attention. Although I am not a fan of Larry King, I would listen to Sir Paul talk to ANYONE about anything!

yes kiese i totally agree with you. My question i wonder how yoko is going to act on national tv with viewers calling in questions about john lennon.

I am so SICK of Paris...I never understood how she got a 'fake reality show'...AND WHY PEOPLE WATCHED?

I was SO SICK OF HER BEFORE the jail deal as well. Good grief.

Today on the paul harvey news he announced she had been released from jail...paused and simply said "NO COMMENT". WHY O WHY are the legit news sites and cable giving her SO MUCH ATTENTION.

I am still STUNNED how much coverage AN Smith got on all the cable stations. Wow...

I will watch the beatles thing on Larry king as it will be curious to read Yoko's body language!!

Should be interesting.

Two of you have posted critical comments about Yoko Ono. How is the different from sniping about Paris Hilton, especially considering that Yoko is now 70 years old?

Well I watched the Larry King but it was not what I was expecting. I enjoyed the interview with Yoko and would've liked to have heard more from Olivia, George's widow since I have RARELY seen her let alone heard her interviewed.

Paul McCartney seemed terribly distracted like he was not 'all there'. He kept looking off stage or at the monitor and rarely gave eye contact to Ringo or Larry. Ringo was the ONLY thing that made it fun as he just sat there looking relaxed...He "acted naturally" like the great song he sang.

I wondered if Paul did not want to be on stage with Yoko as we know all about her bad blood with folks.

But Paul seemed off and wondered if anybody else noticed it.

How could one not??

Ringo was the "hit" of the evening, if there was one. He's got a great speaking voice and blasted Paul when Paul criticized Larry King for screwing up the names. I don't like Yoko. She was John's puppetmaster and when they brought a bed to the Apple Studios in London while The Beatles were recording, well, Paul, George and Ringo had enough of both of them. Paul eventually surprised all of them when he released his first solo album, "McCartney." THAT was the end of The Beatles. Paul was the most successful of the group with his solo work and follow-up group, Wings. Supposedly, John's best work was "Imagine," but the lyrics spoke of a place where there's "no heaven and no religion too." It was both critically acclaimed and criticized. George came into his own at the end of the Beatles success, writing songs like "Something" and "Here Comes The Sun." I really wanted to hear a lot more from Olivia and it seemed that Paul was uninterested in the whole evening. As great as The Beatles were I remember The Dave Clark 5 knocking them out of #1 with "Glad All Over." The Dave Clark 5 would finish with 20 hit songs. In my opinion the Rolling Stone were finished when guitarist Brian Jones drowned, if that was really the case. Anyway, they were never the same band after his death. The preceding 3 groups were the best and biggest selling from 1964 - 1966, the leaders of the British Invasion. Then Bob Dylan would change music forever with his 6 minute anthem "Like A Rolling Stone."

Loved Ringo last night, he is a class act - but Larry King was AWFUL... He needs to hang up his mic...Please. Maybe Yoko was acting strange because of all the lame questions he was asking.
