Live Earth Coming To A Planet Near You

Al Gore's global Live Earth: The Concerts for a Climate in Crisis will be found on many TV channels, a couple of radio stations and the Internet long before NBC’s three-hour prime-time special Saturday night.

Microsoft's MSN says video streaming starts 9 p.m. today at http://liveearth.msn.com/
The site lists the lineups for concerts in New York, Washington, D.C., London, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Kyoto, Shanghai, Johannesburg and Hamburg. Scheduled to perform are Madonna, The Police, Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Kelly Clarkson, Melissa Etheridge, Faith Hill, Fall Out Boy, Shakira, Kanye West, Enrique Iglesias, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and many others.

HDTV coverage starts at 4 a.m. on Universal HD. It will have 22 hours, until 2 a.m. Sunday.

Audio streaming starts 7 a.m. on the WVMX-FM (MIX94.1) Website, http://www.mix941.net
It will also be broadcast at 7 a.m. on MIX’s high-definition channel, if you have a HD radio. On a FM radio, tune to WSWD-FM (94.9 The Sound) starting at 12:30 p.m. to hear a 20-minute Live Earth concert feed on the half hour. The last excerpt airs 7:30-7:50 p.m. Saturday. The concert also will be streamed noon-8 p.m. at http://www.949thesound.com/

Bravo: 18 hours of live coverage, including many acts at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. 9 a.m.-3 a.m.

CNBC: Seven hours of live coverage, 7 p.m.-2 a.m.

Telemundo: Performances by Shakira, Man and Enrique Iglesias, 7-8 p.m. Sister service Mun2 provides coverage 5-7 p.m. today, repeating at 10 p.m.

NBC: A three-hour prime-time show will feature highlights from today’s concerts around the world, plus live performances from Giants Stadium. 8-11 p.m. Saturday, Ch. 5, 2.
