Super Bowl "House" Repeats Friday

If you DVRed "House" after the Super Bowl – and didn't capture the entire show because the game ran long – you can catch a repeat at 9 p.m. Friday.

Tony Phillips, Fox 19 marketing director, says the station "received a fair amount of calls following the Super Bowl from folks who set their DVRs to record 'House' and got only part or none of the episode due to the game run-over. We must not have been the only market with this issue as FOX has scheduled a special encore of the episode this Friday, 2/15 at 9pm. If you could help me get the word out, it would be much appreciated."

Oscar-winner Mira Sorvino stars as Dr. Cate Milton, a psychiatrist trapped at the South Pole and the research station's only doctor. When she becomes ill in the middle of her assignment, Dr. House and his team direct her treatment by webcam.

It really was a good episode. I ended up watching it and taping it at the same time.

You asked what we were watching during the writers strike. I am lucky enough to have digital cable, including HBO. I caught up on the previous season of The Wire and am watching the final season now.

Something that has surprised me is the Turner Classic Movie channel on The Free Spot. I found that before the strike. One of my all time favorite movies, The Enchanted Cottage, ran on there this summer. I have seen about a dozen classic films that either I had never seen or had not watched in years.

I love Friday Night Lights and tended to tape it for viewing later. I watch one show and tape another one for later often. No dvr, but a fondness for tv. All I have to do is turn off the digital feature and use regular cable. Moonlight was a pleasant series surprise. It is always fun to see how a new vampire story is developed.

When all else fails I have seasons one through three of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on dvd to tide me over. I only had to dip into it once. The first episode was as good as I remembered.
