Meanwhile...Time Warner keeps screwing with its customers. No HD channels, besides FSN, added in a long time. Typically behind everyone else in terms of service to customers.

John,

Any word from any of the local cable companies on adding more HD channels to theri programming, specifically Insight?

When I have tried to call directly, customer service reps say that they have no information and find out just ahead of the customer.

Thanks,
Josh

To Anons:
I've asked TWC and Insight if they plan to add these HD channels anytime soon. I'll post their replies when I get them.

Hey Kiese -- Two topics I'd like you to expand upon.

First, the February 2009 switch to digital transmission does NOT include low power stations like Cincinnati's channels 25 and 38. Can you fill your readers in on what's likely to happen after all the other broadcast stations end their analog signals, leaving only low power and repeater stations outside, looking in on the new digital world?

Also, I recall that TimeWarner Cincinnati was forbidden to carry Dayton's WDTN (Channel 2), based on an agreement between WCPO and WDTN back when both were ABC affiliates. Well, WDTN switched to NBC years ago, so I'd think any agreement between them would be moot. And it would be nice to have a second NBC station on the TimeWarner system again! Dayton's current ABC affiliate, WKEF/channel 22, is still on TimeWarner Cincinnati, long after the NBC/ABC switch in Dayton.

Can you get TimeWarner to comment on this situation? I've asked questions on several topics (including this one) on their website, but have NEVER received a response. Never. Just LOVE that kind of customer service!

Dish also dropped 10 HD channels with plans to drop 5 more, these were the VOOM channels. Honestly World Fishing Network is not really HD as no programming is in HD from what I've seen thus far. Still Dish has the best DVR in the business and hopefully if they can ever get out of court and settle with Fox(though Dish should win that case) add the Fox owned networks such as Fox Business and FoxNews HD.
